ABOUT US
Candyma'am Candies has a new owner as of October 1st, 2023! Michele Freeman and her family bought the business from Marilyn O'Neill. Marilyn has been making amazing chocolates in Thompson Falls, MT since 1997. When Marilyn decided to retire Michele bought the business with one stipulation that Marilyn had to stay on and teach her all the recipes and secrets that make the chocolates so delicious! Michele has been training with Marilyn most of the summer to learn the business. Marilyn is easing into retirement and the business will be moved full time to Michele's commercial kitchen in Trout Creek, MT at the end of December. Trout Creek, MT is officially known as the Huckleberry capitol of Montana! So local mountain huckleberies will still be available.
Michele has been married to Ben for 29 years and they have two grown children. Michele is a registered nurse but enjoys all things creative. Especially baking! She is well known for making pies and other desserts at the local farmers market. Although she will be doing most of the candy making this is a family adventure and the whole family plans on pitching in! We hope you like our chocolates as much as we enjoy making them!
Each small batch is made fresh and with good quality ingredients. Customer service is our number one priority and we will do our best to specialize the candies to your request.
Our candies have also made it back to their original starting place! You can find us for sale at The Sunflower Gallery downtown on Main Street in Thompson Falls, Montana.
ABOUT OUR CANDIES
"We live in an area famous for huckleberries because they only grow in the wild at high elevations. We blend the huckleberries with cream for the center and cover them with chocolate. It makes for a candy that is a little tart, a little sweet, and a bit wild! All of the candies are made in small batches with fresh ingredients and lots of time. We make a small variety of candies that we find people really enjoy. Who doesn't like chocolate?!"
Also try our nostolgic Cherry Cordials, variety of Truffles, Bear Paws, Peanut Butter Cups, Huckleberry Bark, and more! Most everything comes in your choice of milk, dark, or white chocolate. Check out the option to have them put into a beautiful wood gift box! These one of a kind boxes are hand built by Michele's husband and hand painted by Michele.
